Kim Pierce, Founder of TruckeeHR, started this business because she saw a need in this area due to the unique challenges we face and the seasonal employees we hire. On top of this, California employment law can be tough to navigate if you are a business owner wearing many hats.

Kim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Business and Career & Life Planning from California State University, Chico and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management/HR from University of Phoenix. For over 15 years, she has provided hands on HR support to many industries specific to this area such as ski resorts, restaurants, hotels, retail, healthcare, nonprofits, manufacturing, engineering firms, and independent schools. She has worked in HR for companies such as Starbucks, Amazon, Vail Resorts, Squaw Creek, Sugar Bowl and start-ups such as SoFi. Kim has lived in Truckee, California for many years and enjoys everything this mountain community has to offer.
