My Story

Kim Pierce, a 27+ year resident of Tahoe, brings over 25 years of HR leadership experience to her work with small business owners, helping them drive growth and success. As a long-term local with a deep connection to the community, Kim founded TruckeeHR in 2015 to provide much-needed HR support to businesses in Truckee, CA, and the Lake Tahoe area. Her mission was to offer accessible California HR compliance solutions tailored to the unique needs of startups and small businesses in her hometown.

Drawing on her extensive experience at leading organizations like Starbucks, Amazon, Vail Resorts, and major healthcare companies, Kim has since expanded her services to clients across California and other states, helping businesses remain compliant and focused on what they do best. She holds a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's in Human Resources. When she's not empowering businesses, Kim enjoys exploring Tahoe’s mountain bike trails and backcountry skiing adventures.
